This is in addition to the already generous package of benefits and freebies to which they are entitled at taxpayer expense. This salary grab will be financed by additional debt on top of the unimaginable deficit which they helped to build. If you want to stop this outrage, let your representatives know that you know what is happening, and will remember when reelection time comes. Encourage your lawmakers to oppose the pay raise, demand a recorded vote on the proposal, and not to accept the raise. Ralph Nader is spearheading an effort to turn it around.
